Wanted: Shenanigans

So this is probably one of the only posts i will ever write on this blog and i am writing it in the midst of lab reports and philosophy papers.

Basically the Shenanigans have been on a seven week hiatus ever since winter quarter started. I know everyone is busy with their lives and the life of a student is brutal, but the Shenanigans need a reunion tour! We can't go out being one hit wonders.

Just sayin... everyone could use a little more rockband in their lives. We need to hone our skillz so we can meet Chip's goal of playing on xbox live and being BA.

I'm always down for study breaks and I know for a fact that Chip is too. So for now I will continue my attempts at being a good student until someone pulls me out of this misery and beckons for me to wipe the cobwebs off my guitar.

Operation Beatles Complete.

Agave and Gryllz. They don't need an explanation.

So Gryllz refuses to ever post things on this blog, probably because it'll just give her more Asian points... so I guess I'll make the announcement. 

We beat the Beatles Rock Band.

Now I can take it off my list of things to do before I die. And yes, that was really on my list. Actually, my list says to beat Rock Band, so technically I did. Anyways, we never found a John Lennon, but I guess dWade eventually proved herself and even though she likes George Harrison the best, she's our new John Lennon.

Oh and at first I was a little worried about having her be John Lennon because as she was coming to band practice she ran into a glass window... Contrary to popular belief, Lindsey did not push her into it.

Band practice will resume immediately, once I figure out some times. And I think we have some more members.

Touring the world...

on a jet plane. Yes, you just read that correctly. Jet plane.

Last night while taking a 2 hour study break, Gryllz and I managed to play a 3 song set list, that ended in Aerosmith's Train Kept a Rollin', taking Berlin by storm. And now that we have a jet, we can tour the States! 

As we played a couple gigs in San Francisco and LA, Gryllz took this opportunity to sing a few songs while I played the drums, sort of... Quiet hours started at 10pm last night and since the drums make too much noise, I had to resort to using the ABXY buttons instead. At first it was epic fail, but then I got smart and turned the drum set around, which made it so much easier to button smash. In fact, it was so easy that Gryllz and I were able to get 5 stars in a row, several times, while playing hard.

These past few days have been an excellent week for the Shenanigans. We managed to get both a tour bus and a jet. Our next goal is to get a Sound Guy. I have a feeling that will be accomplished over winter break, at least for those of you who come to LA to play. But we'll see how far we advance in Rock Band because at our next band sesh I'll have The Beatles.

Also, tryouts for John Lennon will be during winter quarter so start warming up those vocal chords.

If anyone wants to take a study break from finals and jam, let me know and I'll hook it up because I'm always down to rock out. My last final is on Tuesday and I'll be here until Thursday so if you want to play...

Ready to be the next John Lennon?

Yeah, you better be.

After much research and little contemplation, I decided to buy The Beatles Rock Band... along with Rock Band 2 and an extra guitar. So when winter quarter begins, I hope you kids are ready to rock.

But first, we have some business to attend to. Who's going to be who? I've called dibs on Ringo Starr. And after much deliberation Gryllz will be Paul McCartney and Loryn, George Harrison. (Loryn, if you don't want to be the guy who dies of lung cancer let me know...)

John Lennon anyone?

Normally I'd give it to the first person who asks, but John Lennon is just too good to give away so there will be tryouts for anyone who wants to be the guy who gets shot. Keep in mind, you must be both musically talented as a singer and a guitarist... or at least be better than everyone else. No pressure.
